DUI Wolf Pack to Roam Pinellas County This Labor Day Weekend

|

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office has announced plans to implement a DUI Wolf Pack operation this coming weekend. It will be a collaborative effort between the P.C.S.O. and other local law enforcement agencies, including the St. Petersburg Police Department, the Clearwater Police Department, Largo P.D., and a host of others. According to the Sheriff's Office, the planned operation will target some of the county's busiest roadways. While specific locations have not been named, you can be assured that a proactive approach to detecting and removing impaired drivers, by multiple agencies throughout the county, will leave very few locales unpoliced.

The operation is part of the sheriff's efforts to "reduce deaths, injuries, and property damage associated with traffic crashes related to impaired driving". The goal of the wolf pack, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, is to "educate people and create public awareness about the dangers of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and any chemical or controlled substances".

Use a designated driver or be one. Spend the money on a cab, or stay home. If you have had a few drinks, and you get pulled over this weekend, there is a very good chance that you will be subject to a DUI investigation. DUI offenses are investigated and prosecuted aggressively in Pinellas County, which a Wolf Pack Operation will only enhance. If you are arrested for a DUI, we can help. As they say, however, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Please be safe this weekend.
